I've
studied many books on careers and career development and I list these book recommendations as "Best

"What
Color Is Your Parachute" is the perennial classic for job-hunters
and career-changers. This book is probably responsible for more
successful careers and career changes than anything ever published.
An outstanding book.
"Do
What You Are" is a guide to finding the best career based
on your results on the Myers-Briggs assessment. The book takes an
interesting approach because it provides short biographies of people
who are happy in the careers that best match their Myers-Briggs
type.
"Pathfinder"
is an excellent book that takes you through an entire process to
help you decide what you want to do with your life.
"Targeting
The Job You Want" is referred to as "The best book
on the market to help you figure out who you are, what you enjoy
doing, and what you want to do with your life." It lives up
to it's promise.
